Your clients should be thoroughly prepared for whatever issues they may face while going through their divorce/separation. Whether it is a trial, deposition or some type of evaluation, the more prepared your client is, the more likely he or she will present her/his best self.
If you are unable to spend a substantial amount of time preparing your clients for upcoming events, make sure you hire someone who can.
Value Experts
If your clients and their exes have acquired property together, it will need to be equitably divided. In order to assure the assets are equitably divided it is first necessary to determine the value of all assets involved. Although some assets, such as most vehicles, are easy to value, there are other assets, such as collectibles, that are not quite as easy to value thanks to KBB and other online resources. Valuing other assets may be more difficult. It may be necessary to find someone who specializes in the specific asset needing to be valued.
